Airtel Black has long been promoted as the ultimate all-in-one lifestyle bundle. It combines mobile, fiber, DTH, and streaming subscriptions under one roof to give families a seamless entertainment and connectivity experience. But for many users, the seamless promise is starting to feel shaky.

Recently, a customer reported that their ZEE5 subscription under Airtel Black stopped working on August 7. After multiple follow-ups, the issue was still unresolved for more than ten days. The so-called dedicated representative could only assure that it would be fixed by August 17, leaving the family without access to one of the key OTT platforms included in their plan.

For a premium product, this is more than just an inconvenience. OTT platforms are no longer side benefits. They are a central part of how people consume content daily. Losing access for more than a week makes the premium tag of Airtel Black appear hollow. Even worse, asking customers to simply wait exposes weak customer service and undermines the very trust that keeps subscribers loyal.

Airtel Black has positioned itself as the best of everything in one place. But if subscribers feel they cannot rely on uninterrupted OTT benefits, many may consider shifting to standalone streaming subscriptions that do not come with these frustrating gaps.

The larger concern is whether Airtel Black is truly delivering on its value proposition. Customers pay for convenience and premium support, and when that breaks down, the entire pitch of the product collapses. If Airtel wants Black to remain aspirational, it will have to strengthen service delivery and ensure customers never face such long interruptions.

Until then, the promise of Airtel Black feels underwhelming, and rivals may soon benefit if Airtel does not address these lapses quickly.
