Akshay Kumar’s latest comedy Housefull 5 is roaring at the box office, with early figures pointing towards a strong ₹100 crore run in just a few days since release.
The film, which hit theatres on June 6, collected an impressive ₹87 crore over its opening weekend. It began with ₹24 crore on Friday, surged to ₹31 crore on Saturday, and climbed further to ₹32 crore on Sunday, reflecting strong word of mouth and growing footfalls.
Across India, Housefull 5A clocked a 39.52 percent occupancy on Sunday, peaking at 54.77 percent during evening shows. Meanwhile, Housefull 5B saw steady traction with 24.49 percent overall occupancy and 36.40 percent during evening shows. Together, both versions continue to draw in audiences across formats.
The film now ranks as the third highest Bollywood opener of 2025, trailing behind Chhaava and Sikandar. With solid weekend numbers and positive audience feedback, trade analysts predict it will cross ₹100 crore by Monday.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 is the fifth installment in the hit comedy franchise but adds a fresh twist with a murder mystery plot. Set aboard a luxury cruise ship, the story follows a chaotic series of events where multiple imposters fight for the fortune of a recently deceased billionaire.
The film features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, and Soundarya Sharma. The extended cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjit, Nikitin Dheer, Chitrangda Singh, and Fardeen Khan.
With its mix of comedy, chaos, and a whodunnit spin, Housefull 5 continues to deliver what fans of the franchise love — full blown entertainment.
